Interview: Neon Trees.

Image
The day after their energetic performance at the 2011 MTV World Stage in Malaysia, we caught up with Neon Trees and were pleasantly surprised to see how much fun they had in them, even after a massively rocking night on stage. Speaking exclusively to Tyler Glenn (vocals), Chris Allen (guitar), Branden Campbell (bass) and Elaine Bradley (drums), we found out what they almost named the band, the cool police escort they had to MTV World Stage and their habits. Did you guys get to do any sightseeing while in Malaysia? Tyler: No, but I've been taking mental notes because there's so many places to see but I've only seen glimpses of on this trip. So I wanna come back in the next 3-5 years. 3-5 years??! That's a long time! Tyler: Yeahhh, I know! Elaine: We have a busy schedule! Chris: It was kind of a long drive to the venue, so we got to see a lot of the landscape and it was very beautiful. Branden: It was kinda quick though with our police escort. Elaine: Yeah! We...

World Stage: Where A Dream Came True (Part 2)

In the last post, I talked about my experience seeing Neon Trees live. In this post, I'll be telling you about my very first Mars experience. No, this isn't about Mars, the planet. This is about something more than just a planet. It's about 3 amazingly talented men who formed a band and called themselves "30 Seconds To Mars". :) They kicked off the show (at 10pm) with "Escape". Shannon was amazing with the drumbeats seconds before Escape started. Jared performed this song with Pythagoras (his beautiful white guitar) & with his glasses on. Damn! He looked so.... Jared. Yummilicious. The second song was "A Beautiful Lie". Ok, this was where my chemicals kicking in. I sang a-long to the song the way I never did before. The show continued with "Attack". OMG I spent my entire voice to this song. Simply because this is my most favourite song in A Beautiful Lie. ;) I sang the part, "And I am finally free!" with all ...

World Stage: Where A Dream Came True (Part 1)

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Miss Syu for the MTV WS free pass, and thanks to Sis Ju for the company. It was a pleasure going to the WS with you. ;) We were at iCity since 1.30pm. The 1st gate opened at 3.30pm & the second one at 6pm. The show ended around 11.30pm. BEST. DAY. EVER. (PS: I honestly didn't give much crap about Pop Shuvit & BEAST. Especially BEAST. Like I said, I dislike KPop oh so much!) July 24 th , 2011. The day when a dream of mine came true. I was a part of this year’s MTV World Stage. I got to see not one, but two of my favourite bands. I rocked out with Neon Trees & 30 Seconds To Mars. It was an awesome experience. Everything felt surreal. Neon Trees took the stage at 9pm. They started with “In The Next Room”. Not many people know the song, so I just sang a-long to the song. Then, they continued with “Your Surrender”. Some of the boys behind me sang a-long to the song. I thought that was pretty cool because they actu...

Getting Ready For The World Stage.

Thank You, Harry Potter.

Once upon a time there was a wonderful story called Harry Potter . The story was not thousands and thousands of hours long, it was not prejudice or demanding, nor boastful or self-righteous. In fact, it was a simple story. It was a tale of an orphaned boy who thought he was alone in the world, and destined to be so forever. He soon discovered that friendship, love and family were waiting for him at an odd little place called Hogwarts. His friends and his foes fought valiantly through seven years of school, discovering that weaknesses could be overcome and strength could be encouraged through a simple thing called love. Harry Potter thought he was alone in the world, if only he knew that millions of people, like myself, saw him as so much more than a character, but as a friend. Tonight, I, like so many before me and so many yet to see, watched the final instalment of the Harry Potter film series. Like all of those prior, it was a rare piece of magic that was more than a joy to watch. Ho...

It All Ends.

Harry Potter. I watched it yesterday with my good friend, Asfar (thanks for buying the tix days before it came out!) I have no words how to describe the movie. It was... Everything I thought it would be. HP7.2 (as I like to call it) was undoubtedly the best Harry Potter movie EVER! (It grossed approx $43.5M midnight showings, breaking the previous record of $30M set by Twilight Eclipse.) This last movie from the franchise toyed with my emotions a lot. Too heart-wrenching. I cried. Yes, I did. I cried when Snape died, I cried when Snape cried when Lily died. Confused? Me too. =__= But Severus Snape was truly a hero. As well as Minerva McGonagall. She stood up for Harry from the first to the very last. Neville Longbottom was the BAMF. He killed Nagini with the Gryffindor sword . A hero in disguise, that (grown up) kid. ;) There are scenes that I really love & scenes I really "hate".. Just cuz those scenes made me weep like a baby. The "liked" scenes. This is where...

Before The Finale.

Image
Here are some videos that we could all watch before the finale. *bawl* The speeches that were given by the golden trio & the queen. The press conference they did a few days before the London premiere. Let's cry together, shall we now?

Darren Criss! The Harry Potter in the Very Potter Musical was there too! ;D The live stream of Harry Potter premiere just ended. I swear I cried a bit while watching it. Idk why I just feel so sad. This was the last premiere of HP's last movie. No more HP movies. No more premieres like this one. :( This premier was probably the craziest, most epic movie premier in the history of mankind. MADNESS! Everyone looked super stunning, especially Emma & Evanna Lynch. Their dresses are beautiful! The last interview with David Yates, David Heyman, Daniel, Emma, Rupert & JK Rowling was fucking emotional. I was crying when Emma was giving a speech. She cried, and so did Jo. I cried even more when Emma hugged Rupert after the speech. And when Rupert said "i love you" to Emma, my tears were flowing a river. David Heyman with "the golden trio" standing at the back. Emma's face was heart-breaking. :( My some other screen shots during the live stream. :) Robbie Coltr...

Life Decision.

I want a new phone. My old one's broken. So I've been considering every options I have. And I'm having problems in making decision. Blackberry, or iPhone? Kalau ikutkan hati, I want an iPhone. Tapi iPhone mahal. Tengok kat Maxis & Celcom, 2-2 pun mahal. If phone murah, bulan-bulan bayar mahal. If phone mahal, bulan-bulan bayar murah. A friend of mine asked me to buy an iPhone. She nasihat me to kumpul duit a bit for an iPhone. But the problem is, I can't wait. I want a new phone ASAP. Next month, if possible. BB Bold kat Maxis murah jugak la. RM790 with 24 months contract. Apa-apa pun, I have to go to Maxis center and get more details about it. Takut if ada hidden charges. Hurm. THAT'S IT! I'm buying a BB Bold. :) Wait. But iPhone's nice too.. OMG! Not again! I HAVE made up my mind, haven't I? No iPhone, it's too pricey. BB, please! =__= *This is probably the hardest decision I've ever made. So far.*

Thanks, Everyone.

College registration day. Everything went well. Good news is, I got 'it' again. For the third time. Alhamdulillah. I never thought I'm gonna get it again, but I did. Though my pointer slightly decreased from the last time, still... I feel so happy. :D I'm sure my parents would be damn proud of me. :') Thanks, Mak & Abah for the moral (& financial) support. Thanks, lecturers for all the knowledge, patience & cooperation. Thanks, Google for all the infos. (HAHA) Thanks, friends for the memories.. Thank you, ALLAH for everything... :) (PS: Happy birthday to Adil Ridzuan & Ilham Zainal. Ich liebe dich so sehr!)
