Her Story.

Hello.

Remember the girl who used to hate kpop so much even hearing the 'k' word would annoy the hell out of her? Well....

That girl is long gone.
That girl is nowhere to be found.

Standing (or sitting?) before your eyes now is a girl who is in love with the thing she used to hate.
She is in love with kpop. And everything Korean.

Like, what the heck happened?
How did she come to love the thing she hated most?
Even she does not know the answer to those Qs.

Ever heard of the phrase "one thing leads to another"?
That is what happened.
Everything began when she started watching Running Man.
It was summer 2013.
She was staying at the hostel, along with her friends who love kpop and love watching Running Man.
One day, she joined her friends, and little did she know that her action would change her life forever...

She became a fan of Running Man.
She became addicted to Running Man.
She watched more than 3 episodes a day.
She finished 3 years worth of episodes in less than 4 months.
She was that crazy.

As "one thing leads to another", she started watching kdramas.
Her first ever kdrama was "My Girl" in 2011.
She was unfazed and was not as crazy.
But "The Master's Sun" changed that. It changed her.
She started downloading and watching kdramas after kdramas.
Until she had seen 16 kdramas in the span of 3 months.

Not long after that, she started taking an interest in a kpop boy group.
(As if became addicted to kdramas did not screw her enough..)
"EXO" was the first kpop group she ever took a fancy to.
Though she had been living with friends who are fans of Super Junior, 2PM, BEAST,
she never developed an interest in any of them.
She was unperturbed, you could've believed her heart was made of stone.

But EXO turned her stony heart into a glass.
She became such a huge fan. Addicted and obsessed.
She memorized their names and birthdates.
She memorized their fan chants and dance moves.
She even memorized their songs...
Heol. Daebak.

And then, she started loving other groups.
She started listening to CNBLUE, Super Junior, BIGBANG.
She later became a fan of these groups.
She downloaded their albums.
Watched their videos on Youtube.
Memorized their songs.
And dreamed of seeing them live in concert.
She has sworn not to like any more groups.
And she will keep that promise, I believe she will.

Let's just hope she will...
